JUST when we thought we have heard the last of Miss Anambra beauty pageant mess, after the harried one concerning Miss Anambra 2015 winner, Chidinma Okeke and the Anambra Broadcasting Services, the Yuletide has served us another juicy one from Nnewi, from same Anambra State.

This happened last Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Ifeanyi Uba’s sponsored Nnewi Youths Fiesta where all the sixteen contestants for the Miss Nnewi beauty pageant were disqualified for failing to answer basic current affairs questions correctly.

The gathering was thoroughly pissed for the inability of the contestants to answer questions like who the founder of the Dr. Ifeanyi Uba foundation is; What they would do if they become the president of Nigeria; and Who the president of Nigeria is? A contestant excitedly told the gathering that the current president of the Federal Republic is Dr. Muhammadu Buhari.

Most said, ‘No Idea.’ Yet these are supposed to be undergraduates!

Intelligence quotient At the end of the exercise, E-Daily learnt there was no winner as it was a brazen embarrassment to the sensibilities of not only the organizers but the state as a whole.

“The organizers of the event should please, try and test the intelligence quotient of would-be contestants before bringing them out for public parade. Or else, the embarrassment will continue as the state itself has not recovered from the cucumber saga,” a guest observes.

At the end of the day, no winner was declared as the organisers were thoroughly embarrassed. The car prize meant for the winner had to be taken away.

Wizkid Breaks Silence, Reacts To Uganda’s Arrest Warrant.

Some days back, a Ugandan court issued an arrest warrant for Afro-Pop star andDaddy Yo singer Wizkid and his manager,Sunny Are for failing to show up for an event he was billed to perform.

The reason the super star was unable to perform was due to exhaustion and was advised by his medical team to take a break although he disobeyed the advice by performing at the Rhythm unplugged music event on 23rd December, 2016. 

However, Wizkid who picked the “Artist Of The Year” at the just concluded Headies Awards, has apologized to his Ugandan fans promising new dates for the show.

He said; “I just wanna make music and perform to my people! Y’all forgive me for everything else! Way up! Stay up!#Daddy Yo!”

“Working on dates to come see u guys! Y’all knw i’m just here to spread good vibes and positive energy! Love my Uganda fans!”

Ecstatic Nigerian Man Completes Marriage Rites For Wife After 27 Years Of Living Together.

The story of this couple goes with the saying “better late than never!” Mr Shina Ogundele is has shown his gratitude that after 27 years of living with his wife, he was finally able to conclude her marriage rites and formalities.

He shared his exciting testimony on his Facebook page, writing:

To God be the glory just concluded marriage rites and formalities after 27yrs of living together, it is indeed a worthwhile grace of God, I never knew the significant until it was done.

“I was afraid of admitting I’m Christian for fear of being killed” – Singer, Adewale Ayuba

Popular Fuji musician, Adewale Ayuba, has opened up on his initial fear after he got converted to Christianity.Ayuba, now commonly known as Mr. Johnson, was born and bred in a Muslim family.

According to the ex-staunch Muslim, he had been a Christian since 2010, but hasn’t been practicing it for fear of being killed.

The ‘Ijo Fuji’ songster made this known in an open confession in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, weekend.

While admitting that he is now proudly a full Christian, he said, “I have been a Christian for so long, even my family members especially my kids are all going to church but I make sure I go every December 31st. If I don’t, I will presume the New Year would be filled with dangers that will lead to my death.

“I was always scared of admitting to the world that I’m Christian, for fear of being killed, but now I have the courage to say it boldly, I’m a born-again Christian. I’m no more a Muslim,” Ayuba added.
