Angry Youths Disrupt Buruji's Visit to Ijebu East.

Saturday 24th March,2018  would continue to linger in the memory of the Ogun East Senator as one of the days he recorded bad political outing in his life.

Senator Buruji Kashamu was at Ijebu Ife in Ijebu East yesterday for his initial visit to the local government area that had erlier been scheduled before about three weeks ago but was postponed till yesterday due to the reason best known to him.

His yesterday's visit might not be unconnected with the 2019 general elections, whether he is preparing to seek re-election back to senate or contest for Ogun guber election in 2019 as being speculated from different angles and also from his followers.

The angry youths had earlier granted audience to both Otunba Ayinde Awobadejo and Hon Oyenuga Samuel respectively when they  addressed the party members at the gathering which took place at Ita-Wade in Ijebu Ife. They both addressed the gathering about their individual ambition to vie for 2019 FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES to represent Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

But when it was the turn of Senator Buruji Kashamu to address the gathering at Ita-Wade in Ijebu Ife, the irate youths did not allow the senator to alter a word as they started booing him continously, his effort to avert the ugly situation proved abortive, and Senator Buruji Kashamu later left the venue in annoyance without making a speech to the people at the gathering yesterday.

A source within the senator's caucus from Ogbere Ward in Ijebu East also informed our sleuth that when Senator Buruji Kashamu also tried to make moves in going to Ogbere township yesterday to commission the 10-open stalls constructed at Ogbere market as part of the senator's 2017 CONSTITUENCY PROJECT, he was frankly told that he should not venture to come to Ogbere town, as yesterday was the day set aside in the ancient town to kick-start the traditional process of selecting a new king for Ogbere town, and that safety was not guaranteed according to the reliable source.

PUBLIC NOTICE

*Disclaimer on Remo Federal Constituency On line Poll between Hon. (Barr.) AsiwajuYinka Mafe and one Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole**

The attention of the people of Remo Federal Constituency has been drawn to the above publication in an online news media 'newspersecond247', wherein it was stated that Hon. Asiwaju Yinka Mafe lost in an online acceptability poll to one Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole.

Ordinarily, we would not have reacted to this sort of banter and shenanigans coming from untrained minds who do not understand the basic metrics of determining outcome of an online poll, suffice it to say that, the online poll under reference is still ongoing. However, it is very important that we issue this disclaimer on this cheap misrepresentation of facts of the ongoing on line poll between Hon. (Barr.) Asiwaju Yinka Mafe and one Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole.

For the avoidance of doubt, in the referenced online Poll, Asiwaju Yinka Mafe lead is still clear over the competitor, even as Asiwaju Mafe was never privy to the setting up of the online poll contrary to insinuations from the warped imaginations of the writer in that pedestrian, banal and wishywashy newspersecond247 publication. The lead of Hon. (Barr) Asiwaju Yinka Mafe over Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole in the ongoing online poll is verifiable, the voters' list is open and can be ascertained by ANY Facebook user.

It is very important to stress that, Hon. Asiwaju Yinka Mafe is ready to test his acceptability and popularity at any time. His sterling, unequalled and unassailable records of performance  in office are eloquent testimonies that he is the choice and only preference of the people of Remo Federal Constituency to represent us in the Federal House of Representatives come 2019.

It is needless asking the people of Remo to ignore and discountenance that cheap, unfounded, shallow on line publication of newspersecond247 alluding that Asiwaju Yinka Mafe lost in an online popularity poll to one Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole. If they were confident of their track records in public office, they would have used their real identity and not a proxy. This is not the first online poll, Asiwaju Yinka Mafe would be participating in, he has come tops in all of them including an online poll for the best member of the Ogun House of Assembly 2017, it is therefore laughable how his acceptability has suddenly fallen despite his visibility, approachability and the un paralleled goodwill of Remo people enjoyed by Asiwaju Yinka Mafe.

For the up tempt time, we the good people of the Remo Federal Constituency have already made our choice clear in Hon. Asiwaju Yinka Mafe to be our representative in The House of Representatives come 2019 and God Almighty has already sanctioned it.

...says seven persons have shown interest
...denies disparaging Tinubu
Olasunkanmi Akinlotan
Ogun state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has  said that he may not know the next governor after him, but, knows those that would not succeed him.

The governor said this on Friday in Abeokuta at the APC, Ogun State members of National Assembly caucus meeting.
In the meeting which attracted state APC executive council, the governor disclosed that no fewer than seven persons have shown interest to become next governor after  him.
He said, with his assessment,  none of them qualifies to become governor of the state.
The governor however,  denied  making disparaging comments on the leader of APC and former Lagos state governor,  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that  Tinubu had stood by him when he needed him,
While reacting to an alleged online report whose content pitched  him against Tinubu, Amosun challenged those behind the report to provide the evidence to back their claims.
Amosun said , "What happened was that we wanted to have a parliamentary caucus meeting. And we said we would be having it quarterly but we discovered that our commissioners are not there and the elders of the party too must be there, infact we were phoning round to know if we should call only the working committees or who should we call?.
"So we called  about four people asking how many are the working committees, some said 26 while some said the working committees are 16 but because the state chairman is no more there, it should be 15 and at a point we agreed that ;let us call only the state working committee , which  will include, the commissioners, the assembly members and the national assembly members and that,  the meeting will hold at the government house.
"It wasn't our normal meeting it was just the parliamentary caucus meeting.
"Well, but for me, we should be happy, that some people are afraid of whatever we do and that is why they are running helter skelter.
"If there  are cowards or traitors somewhere trying to record or do any other thing, those people can not do anything.
"But let me say this and I have been saying it all the time, that we might not be able to say clearly now,who becomes the next governor, but ,we know those who will not be governor.
"And I think I did mention that time, that, it is this Ogun state that I was born and schooled (my primary, secondary and tertiary institution) here. So, if I speak, I am speaking from the position of strength and I know that with all our elders, even those  that are apolitical, I know that I know those  that will not be governor.
"I know that at the appropriate time we would get our people together and we would say this is your son  and we would pick and whoever we pick is going to become governor.
"If you want something, there are several ways of getting it, imagine someone saying that 'I said, Asiwaju Tinubu will finish him in lagos.' but what I said to those who told me, was that, don't worry about that one, what will happen in any other place I do not know and I don't talk about what I do not know.
"By the way I say all the time that,Asiwaju stood by me when I needed him I have ways of reaching Asiwaju although he did not give me any money but my dad will  say that an helper must not be disappointed.
"But if they say we are confident, Yes we are very very confident that in this Ogun state, whoever is backing them is only wasting his or her  time.
"Here in Ogun state we are not God, we are humans, but ,at the appropriate time when we say this is the governor ,our people will support, because our leader both those within and those outside will support us and we would win.

"This one it would be no campaign. So warn them they are just wasting their time and money.
"So for ME, whatever am going to say,am going to say it, the way we were brought  up we are not cowards nor traitors.'he that is not to be counsel can never be saved' so for me I don't hide under one finger to fight.
"Seven people have told me they want to become governor but all the seven are just wasting their time when the time comes we would tell our people.
"On Ondo election, we have won and we would continue to win ,so, if they have money let them go and keep it. When it is time for us to spend money, we would spend very well for our people."

The Majority Leader Ogun State House of Assembly (Asiwaju 'Yinka Mafe) hosts children in his constituency.

Celebrating the Yuletide in a very unprecedented way, the Majority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly and also Member Representing Sagamu 1 State Constituency (Offin); Asiwaju (Hon) Adeyinka Mafe hosted a feast to celebrate Children from his constituency. It was the Asiwaju Yinka Mafe Foundation 1st Annual Children's Xmas Party, which eventually turned into a massive feast as both children and their mothers trooped in to the occasion which was held at the Emuren Town Hall.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the AYM Foundation; Asiwaju Adeyinka Mafe recounted his childhood experiences in the town which the present Emuren town used to be. He encouraged the children to ensure they be the best they can be, and that they can take a cue from his success story. He courageously assured them of a very bright future for them all, reminding them that diamond is always found in the dirt and then refined to be the beautiful gem we all adore. He also assured them that the event will be a yearly event without stop.

It was much pomp and fun for the children as they were obviously excited to see their very own Asiwaju with his children and also in company of his wife; Yeye Adetutu Mafe dance and play around with them in an unusual manner. Lots of prizes were won by the children as there were more than enough gift packs given out to all children and their mothers.

Excitement and joy was obvious and visible in the entire town as the occasion ended with the much appreciation and fetters from the Apena, Lisa and Otunba of Emuren Remo all on behalf of the community. Amosun Pays N12.5bn Deductions, Gratuities and Severance Allowance to Workers

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has approved the total sum of N12.5 billion for the payment of gratuities, cooperative deductions arrears and severance allowance of former Political office holders in the state.

This was disclosed, on Wednesday, by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa while addressing a press conference at the Governor’s office, Oke Mosan.

Giving a breakdown of the payments, Adeoluwa said N5.5bn has been disbursed for the payment of 6 months arrears of outstanding cooperative deductions to all categories of the workforce.

Another N6bn was disbursed for the payment of gratuities to pensioners covering the period between November 2012 and January 2014.

The SSG explained that the gratuity payment would benefit not less than 2,429 retirees.

It should be recalled that the Governor Amosun-led administration on assumption of office in 2011 started clearing the backlog of gratuity payments from 2007 and has now paid up till January 2014.

The SSG added that the state government has also approved the payment of N1bn to clear the balance of severance allowance due to political office holders who served the immediate past administration of former Governor Gbenga Daniel between 2007 and 2011 as well as those who served between 2011 and 2015.

Explaining the source of the fund, the Secretary to the State Government said, it came from the N10.6bn Ogun State government received from the Paris Club refund, which the federal government recently shared to different states of the Federation.

He explained that whereas the federal government advised state governments to use only 50 per cent of the fund for payment of workers’ emolument, the Ogun State governor has decided to spend it all on the workforce because of the love the governor has for the workers.

“Ogun State is not only using the entire fund it received but has also added N1.9bn,” the SSG said. He added that this was aside the fact that the state government, in its usual practice, has paid December 2016 salary plus 13th month salary to all categories of workers at both state and local government levels.

Barr. Adeoluwa therefore thanked the entire civil servants in the state for their endurance while “affirming that the welfare of our workers is paramount to us." The SSG added that government would continue to do all within its power to cater for the civil and public servants.

AYM Set To Launch Free School Bus/Students Shuttle.

The Honourable member representing Sagamu Constituency 1(Offin) in Ogun State House of Assembly who is also the Majority Leader of the Ogun State House Assembly; Asiwaju (Hon) Adeyinka Mafe has disclosed plans to launch a Free School Bus/Shuttle for pupils in his constituency at the next school resumption.

In his words; "The Free School Bus initiative has become germane owing to the plight of pupils every school day, morning and afternoon and sometimes evening. This is coming at a time when it is quite necessary, and hence, everything has been put in place ahead of the next resumption. We will be starting with a luxurious Bus  that will convey pupils of any of our public schools. The route will basically be from Coca Cola Bus Stop through Remo Divisional High School, through Sabo and then all the way to Methodist Comprehensive and then up town to Remo Secondary School, back and forth, morning and afternoons. We hope to subsequently purchase more buses to ease the flexibility of the scheme. However, you have my assurance that there's a lot more in the offing, one after the other, little by little we will cover as much as possible".

Further explaining, he said; "Thank God for the dualization of the Akarigbo Rd, that has created an uplift for Sagamu and created the room for such initiative. At different times we have been pupils and we have traversed every path, nook and cranny these young ones do traverse today and sincerely, personally I understand what most of them often go through. Hence we have carefully structured this scheme to assist them all".

The ready to be launched Scheme is an addition to the ongoing Free Tutorials and a lot of other basic projects.

Read Donald Trump’s Victory Speech

Thank you. Thank you very much, everyone. Sorry to keep you waiting. Complicated business, complicated. Thank you very much.
I’ve just received a call from secretary Clinton. She congratulated us. It’s about us. On our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign.
I mean she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.
I mean that very sincerely. Now it is time for America to bind the wounds of division, have to get together, to all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation I say it is time for us to come together as one united people.
It is time. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all of Americans, and this is so important to me. For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I’m reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great country.
As I’ve said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement, made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their family.
It is a movement comprised of Americans from all races, religions, backgrounds and beliefs, who want and expect our government to serve the people, and serve the people it will.
Working together we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation and renewing the American dream. I’ve spent my entire life in business, looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world.
That is now what I want to do for our country. Tremendous potential. I’ve gotten to know our country so well. Tremendous potential. It is going to be a beautiful thing. Every single American will have the opportunity to realize his or her fullest potential. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.
We are going to fix our inner cities and rebuild our highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals.
We’re going to rebuild our infrastructure, which will become, by the way, second to none, and we will put millions of our people to work as we rebuild it. We will also finally take care of our great veterans who have been so loyal, and I’ve gotten to know so many over this 18-month journey.
The time I’ve spent with them during this campaign has been among my greatest honors.
Our veterans are incredible people. We will embark upon a project of national growth and renewal. I will harness the creative talents of our people and we will call upon the best and brightest to leverage their tremendous talent for the benefit of all. It is going to happen. We have a great economic plan. We will double our growth and have the strongest economy anywhere in the world.
At the same time we will get along with all other nations, willing to get along with us. We will be. We will have great relationships. We expect to have great, great relationships. No dream is too big, no challenge is too great. Nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach.
America will no longer settle for anything less than the best. We must reclaim our country’s destiny and dream big and bold and daring. We have to do that. We’re going to dream of things for our country, and beautiful things and successful things once again.
I want to tell the world community that while we will always put America’s interests first, we will deal fairly with everyone, with everyone.
All people and all other nations. We will seek common ground, not hostility, partnership, not conflict. And now I would like to take this moment to thank some of the people who really helped me with this, what they are calling tonight a very, very historic victory.
First I want to thank my parents, who I know are looking down on me right now. Great people. I’ve learned so much from them. They were wonderful in ev
And my brother Robert, my great friend. Where is Robert? Where is Robert?
My brother Robert, and they should be on this stage but that’s okay. They’re great.
And also my late brother Fred, great guy. Fantastic guy. Fantastic family. I was very lucky .
Great brothers, sisters, great, unbelievable parents. To Melania and Don and Ivanka and Eric and Tiffany and Barron, I love you and I thank you, and especially for putting up with all of those hours. This was tough.
This was tough. This political stuff is nasty and it is tough. So I want to thank my family very much. Really fantastic. Thank you all. Thank you all. Lara, unbelievable job. Unbelievable. Vanessa, thank you. Thank you very much. What a great group.
You’ve all given me such incredible support, and I will tell you that we have a large group of people. You know, they kept saying we have a small staff. Not so small. Look at all of the people that we have. Look at all of these people.
And Kellyanne and Chris and Rudy and Steve and David. We have got tremendously talented people up here, and I want to tell you it’s been very, very special.
I want to give a very special thanks to our former mayor, Rudy Giuliani. He’s unbelievable. Unbelievable. He traveled with us and he went through meetings, and Rudy never changes. Where is Rudy. Where is he?
[Chanting “Rudy”]
Gov. Chris Christie, folks, was unbelievable. Thank you, Chris. The first man, first senator, first major, major politician — let me tell you, he is highly respected in Washington because he is as smart as you get, senator Jeff sessions. Where is Jeff? A great man. Another great man, very tough competitor. He was not easy. He was not easy.
Who is that? Is that the mayor that showed up? Is that Rudy?
Up here. Really a friend to me, but I’ll tell you, I got to know him as a competitor because he was one of the folks that was negotiating to go against those Democrats, Dr. Ben Carson. Where’s been? Where is Ben? By the way, Mike Huckabee is here someplace, and he is fantastic. Mike and his familiar bring Sarah, thank you very much. Gen. Mike Flynn. Where is Mike? And Gen. Kellogg. We have over 200 generals and admirals that have endorsed our campaign and there are special people. We have 22 congressional medal of honor people.
A very special person who, believe me, I read reports that I wasn’t getting along with him. I never had a bad second with him. He’s an unbelievable star. He is — that’s right, how did you possibly guess? Let me tell you about Reince. I’ve said Reince. I know it. I know it. Look at all of those people over there. I know it, Reince is a superstar. I said, they can’t call you a superstar, Reince, unless we win it. Like secretariat. He would not have that bust at the track at Belmont.
Reince is really a star and he is the hardest working guy and in a certain way I did this. Reince, come up here. Get over here, Reince.
Boy, oh, boy, oh, boy. It’s about time you did this right. My god. Nah, come here. Say something. [Reince Priebus: Ladies and gentlemen, the next president of the united States, Donald Trump! Thank you. It’s been an honor. God bless. Thank God.]
Amazing guy. Our partnership with the RNC was so important to the success and what we’ve done, so I also have to say, I’ve gotten to know some incredible people.
The Secret Service people. They’re tough and they’re smart and they’re sharp and I don’t want to mess around with them, I can tell ya. And when I want to go and wave to a big group of people and they rip me down and put me back down in the seat, but they are fantastic people so I want to thank the Secret Service.
And law enforcement in New York City, they’re here tonight. These are spectacular people, sometimes under appreciated unfortunately, we we appreciate them. So it’s been what they call an historic event, but to be really historic, we have to do a great job and I promise you that I will not let you down. We will do a great job.
We will do a great job. I look very much forward to being your president and hopefully at the end of two years or three years or four years or maybe even eight years you will say so many of you worked so hard for us, with you you will say that — you will say that that was something that you were — really were very proud to do and I can — thank you very much.
And I can only say that while the campaign is over, our work on this movement is now really just beginning. We’re going to get to work immediately for the American people and we’re going to be doing a job that hopefully you will be so proud of your president. You will be so proud. Again, it’s my honor.
It’s an amazing evening. It’s been an amazing two-year period and I love this country. Thank you.
Thank you very much. Thank you to Mike Pence.”
ery regard. I are truly great parents. I also want to thank my sisters, Marianne and Elizabeth who are here with us tonight. Where are they? They’re here someplace. They’re very shy actually.

A journalist who is also the State Coordinator of Social Welfare Network Initiative, Jack Vince who champions the cause for the freedom of most northern states held under siege by Boko Haram terrorists, has brought to fore the shocking condition Nigerian soldiers fighting in the region face.
This it is believed is why the country is losing more soldiers to the war against terrorism.
According to the Vince, for “Nigerian troops in northern Borno, ordinary pure water is a luxury. They resort to drinking the potash (kanwa) filled water from wells or ‘rivers’.”
Vince was forced to speak out about the sorry condition of the soldiers following the death of Lt Col. Muhammadu Abu Ali who was killed by Boko Haram terrorists during an ambush on Friday in Borno state.
While writing on the need for the government to adequately provide for the soldiers, he revealed some shocking details and hardship the troops are facing in the north east.
“Now that it is quite incontrovertible that terrorism has become an integral part of the system, seven uninterrupted years of arms confrontation between the state and the outlaws is enough time for security operatives to have had the requisite experience. Experience in terms of the right weapons, strategy, technology, intelligence and all it takes to significantly decimate the terrorists in truth and not through propaganda and press releases.
“I have said this before; for the umpteenth time, I’ll say it again. All units across military formations in Nigeria need to have at least 20 personnel trained abroad and effectively kitted as special forces to bring Boko Haram to its knees. The last set of special forces were trained by the last administration. The present administration must do the same or even more, if we genuinely desire to combat terrorism.
“Also, soldiers need to have their morale boosted by adequate provision of welfare packages, they need to be sensitized and made to feel like lions conquering the jungles of terrorism, they deserve to be adequately and effectively provided with ammunitions, new or functional assault weapons (AKs) with bayonets, personal pistols, combat knives, several pairs of uniforms, boots and helmets, military bulletproof jackets, night vision goggles, general purpose machine guns (GPMGs), rocket propelled grenades (RPGs), anti aircraft (AA) weapons, armoured personnel carriers (APCs), mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) military vehicles, artillery, and combat aircraft.
“Government can not continue to send our soldiers to battle fronts with infinitesimally little or absolutely inadequate fighting equipment.”Vince wrote.
He added: “American soldiers once refused to advance in battle because they noticed that chocolate was missing in their rations. To the Nigerian troops in northern Borno, ordinary pure water is a luxury. They resort to drinking the potash (kanwa) filled water from wells or ‘rivers’.”

THE ONLY REASON WHY I VENTURED INTO POLITICS IS TO SERVE - Asiwaju (Hon) Yinka Mafe

Recently Asiwaju (Hon) Adeyinka Mafe hosted a team of young youths from Olabisi Onabanjo University in a solidarity meeting. The team was led by Shofoyeke Adeniyi, the Immediate Past SUG President of OOU, minutes after the meeting, the Barrister at Law granted a brief interview with RemoVanguard where he expressed his mind on issues, particularly politics were clarified. Here below are excerpts from the interview.

RemoVanguard: Good afternoon Asiwaju Mafe, what can you say about the recent Ogun LG/LCDA Elections?
AYM: To God be the glory, our party; the APC emerged victorious across all LGs and LCDAs, that was a litmus test to the strength which our party, the APC has been built on over time. Our victory at the polls is an indication that the people of Ogun State have made their fair assessment and made the best decision. To God Almighty be the glory.
RemoVanguard: You have just concluded a brief meeting with a number of youths, can we have a brief insight into the purpose of this meeting?
AYM: (Smiles) Well, it wasn't a meeting as you may think, it was just me trying to create time for my brothers for a brief discussion as I usually do. As you all know, I am a youth and at all times I am surrounded by youths, particularly those younger than me. Anyway, today we just had a brief discussion about the affairs of governance generally. More so we are hoping to bring together more of our students and also we discussed issues relating to revamp of the Federation of Remo Students, so it was more like a family meeting.
RemoVanguard: Is this in connection with an ongoing speculation of your aspiration to represent Remo in the House of Reps in 2019?
AYM: Well, as I speak with you, I have never declared such ambition publicly, however, it isn't wrong or criminal for a politician to be ambitious. If the opportunity to serve my people in that capacity presents itself, I am absolutely ready to take it up, but for now, let's take a chill and observe how events unfold. I won't deny having an interest in serving our people in a larger platform.
RemoVanguard: Thus far, what have you been able to achieve has a two-term member of the Ogun State House of Assembly?
AYM: To God be the glory for that, and again I'll like to sincerely appreciate the people of my constituency for the trust, faith and mandate they have reposed in me consecutively. Thus far, in Emuren, we have been able to donate an Ultramodern town hall as demanded by the community, in Ogijo, we have erected a few blocks of classroom in one of the overpopulated primary schools, in Sagamu particularly, we have been able to facilitate the upgrading and expansion of the Akarigbo Rd as it connects to Coca Cola/Kara Junction. That is just a few in addition to the several things we have done and put in place which time will make me unable to highlight in summation here. Above all, glory be to God, we haven't fared badly.
RemoVanguard: Recently your wife had her birthday, how do you combine your political duties and activities with family?
AYM: Thanks, being a young man that I am, it is actually very challenging. However, its a mixed grill of God's faithfulness and intensity hardwork. I keep thanking God for blessing me with such a wife, he who finds a wife has surely found a good thing. From day one till today she has always been the pillar if the family, a true mother to the children and even I myself. If not for her, I cannot imagine what I'd be doing at the moment or where I'd be at the moment....
RemoVanguard: (cuts in) Where's she from?
AYM: She's from Ode Remo in Remo North Local Government....oh! Now Remo North East LCDA. Soon she'll be launching a foundation for widows and the aged, its her initiative and with my absolute support. Soon the foundation will kickoff in from her hometown; Ode Remo, and thereafter other communities in every other LCDA and LG.
RemoVanguard: Asiwaju, you are a Barrister with Masters Degree in same profession, also you had you chambers in the U.K before relocating, why did you decide to dive into the murky waters of politics?
AYM: It took several days of thoughts and consideration and even close consultation with my immediate family. I have always been a ghetto-boy all my life, an indigene of Emuren in Sagamu, born in Warri where I had my basic education and thereafter UNIBEN where I had my Bachelor's degree, Ll.B, obviously, been able to do all of that was purely a sign of God's grace and providence. Hence, there was a natural assignment for me to do unto others as God Almighty has done for me, that can be described as the primary reason for service. You call it politics but I see it as pure service. Furthermore, I took a close look at the profession which I practice, of course I was or perhaps I had been getting fantastically comfortable, but then how many people in Emuren, my hometown, could have access to three square meals...at that time. How many people in other places too can boast of being comfortable? Hence, that was a clarion call for me, that was another reason for me to serve. In another way, we have had several men at the bar before me from time immemorial, they have all lived and gone with only few marks...only records at the bar, but I had to be different. I think serving my people with bring me more honour and even more grace if you understand. Anyway, serving the people, being a voice for them has always been a passion for me and am thankful for the privilege that my constituency has issued to me, thus far, I haven't let them down, at every call I have been swift to response and will always be.
RemoVanguard: Is it true that you're a socialite? How do you unwind?
AYM: Every human is a socialite (smiles), well at best, I try to play around the house with my beautiful children, have them hop on me and the usual dad-children play. At times when I get home, one of my sons will ask me "are you the 'daddy or the mummy'?" That's because they barely see me during school days (Monday-Friday), therefore every moment am lucky to share with them, I ensure its 100% fun and that's how I unwind. If I've answered you rightly.
Also, I hope you're aware my wife owns Tenth Planet Hotel and Suites in Ayepe Rd, Sagamu. It is a grand home of hospitality which has an adjoining Exclusive Lounge, usually I go there to relax and have fun too...you can be my guest next weekend (smiles).
RemoVanguard: Finally, what are you interested in towards 2019?
AYM: You are back with same question (smiles), well, like I said earlier on, am an ambitious young man, and I hope to always represent and serve our people in whatever capacity they deem me fit to serve them in. If am considered capable of representing Remo People in the Green Chamber in 2019, who am I to object? Of course I'll do so with much gratitude. However, let's wait and see how things will work out.
Removanguard: Its nice sharing this moment with you, we wish you the very best in your subsequent endeavors. Your last words sir?
AYM: I must appreciate you for finding time to seek my views. Thanks you God bless you and all yours, and may God bless everyone out there. Thank you
